don't be jealous

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me...

...a big fat dead deer

Way to go, Jerm!

When does your venison sausage make it's way back from the processing plant? I for one would like to see a video of the family gathered around their first taste of Bambi. Also, be sure to take a photo of the mounted deer head in Riley's room. She asked for the "horns" didn't she?

Jerm, I was at the babies' doctor's office and there was a hunting magazine in the waiting room and the buck on the cover was way smaller than yours...you rock!

For the more inquisitive reader, Jeremy would like to add the answers to questions that he frequently gets when showing this picture. The butcher's best estimation is that the buck weighed about 215 pounds. Here in Texas it is classified as an 8 point buck but in other reigions it's called a 4 by 4. It was shot with his Mossberg ATR .270 Winchester Rifle. It was a double lung shot(which ruins almost no meat and ensures a quick kill) at a distance of about 60 yards (a hunter's dream distance) using a 150 grain soft point load. Any other questions are welcome. Just ask Jeremy, he loves, loves loves to talk about guns and hunting.
